Stewy’s Angels Lacrosse, Inc. (SALI) was formed in 2006 to facilitate a place for Penfield middle school girls to continue to play together once they graduated from youth programs. SALI is dedicated to providing instruction and the opportunity for helping local young ladies improve their game and their character from the team dynamics created by competitively playing the game of lacrosse. Since 2006 we have grown to register girls from Penfield, Pittsford, Mercy, Victor, Webster, Livonia, Rush Henrietta and West Irondequoit and are continuing to expand each year.
Our coaches have the necessary experience and are at the leading edge regarding technique and coaching strategies. Our 2008 staff includes Craig Stewart, currently the Assistant Men’s Coach at MCC and Assistant Women’s Varsity Coach for Pittsford High School, Heidi Rothfuss, current Varsity Women’s Coach at Pittsford High School and Wayne Smith, current Woman’s Varsity Coach at Penfield High School.
In summary,we advocate coaching to improve skills and knowledge of the game. We advocate helping develop character and improved communication skills with both coaches and teammates. We really want to see as many girls as we can obtain scholarships based in part on character and their skills as student athletes. We hope this proposition has value to you and we look forward to getting to know all the new families and of course spending more time with our existing family of families.

Golds Gym Spinning Class w/ Coach Wayne Smith
Coach Wayne Smith will be holding a spinning class at Golds Gym on Wednesday evenings at 5:00 pm in Webster (across from Thomas School) starting on 10/01/08. If you are interested in trying this class please contact Chrissy Fitter (chrissy@stewysangelslax.com)....
TSE - Total Sports Experience JV and Varsity Teams
Stewy's Angels will have one JV and one Varsity team at TSE starting in November. The Games are held on Sundays. If interested in playing on one of those teams please contact Chrissy Fitter (chrissy@stewysangelslax.com) ASAP as space is limited.

Fall Tournament Schedule
Webster Seaway Classic – 10/12/08 in Webster, NY; We will be entering one team each JV and V.
Goblin Games – 10/25 – 26/08 in Ithaca, NY; We will be entering one team each JV and V; JV will play on 10/25; Varsity plays on 10/26.
2008 Canandaigua Laxtoberfest – Sunday, 10/19/08, Canandaigua, NY; We will be entering one team each JV and V.
UpTop Classic – 11/2/08 in Syracuse, NY; This tournament is a Varsity only event

John Pepper Memorial/Wildcat Classic Invitational
Congratulations girls! The tournament weekend was met with tough competition. The girls all played great and should be proud of their performance. Thank you to all who participated and made for two days of successful tournaments.
Modified placed 4th overall with a sudden death play-off with West Genny.
JV did not go through to the final stages.
Varsity placed 3rd against fierce competition.

The results of the 1812 Shoot Out are as follows:
Stewy's Angels JV and Varsity came in 5th place.
Stewy's Angels Modified team came in 6th place.

Star Spangled Banner Girls Lacrosse Tournament
Congratulations on a fine effort from Stewy's Angels Lacrosse at the Star Spangled Banner Girls Lacrosse Tournament. It was a tough group of teams which provided Stewy's Angels girls a great learning experience. Thank you to all the parents for your help and support....
Upstate New York Lacrosse Expo
Girls Lacrosse players with thoughts of playing on college teams can display their skills in front of recruiters.
More than 50 college coaches are invited to watch players during the Upstate New York Lacrosse Expo on Saturday, Aug. 9th at Nazareth College.
